How it works
Fill in the job card at the bottom of the page: your generator's make or type, its size in kVA if you know it, the fuel, and tick what is going on (won't start, no power output, surging, service due). If you need a new or hired generator, tick what you need instead. We send it to generator technicians, dealers or hire companies who work in your area, and they quote you directly. You compare and decide. It costs you nothing.

Getting generator quotes you can compare
Repair quotes differ in more than the bottom line. Check the call-out or diagnosis fee and whether it is deducted from the repair, the labour rate, whether parts are new, rebuilt or second hand, the warranty on the repair, and how long the generator will be off site. For a new set, compare the real continuous rating in kVA (not the peak), fuel use at 75% load, noise at 7 metres, the warranty and who services it locally. For fixed installs, make sure an electrician's Certificate of Compliance is included.
